Pretty churches are every where.

Just three days in Goa and I wanted to make the best of it. Read on for a step-by-step account of the dazzling time, we, a  mother-daughter duo had in Goa.

Day 1

2 PM
Landed at Goa airport after facing the wrath of the rain Gods and survived the bumpy air ride. We were staying at Treebo Santiago Hotel. Settled in, a quick bite, changed and all set to visit Marriott for a splendid evening.

4 PM
At The Marriott Hotel and Spa – The sprawling property, scrumptious local food, and trademark Marriott http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/goimc-goa-marriott-resort-and-spa/   hospitality is how I experienced my Sunday evening there. The Marriott staff received us with a delicious cool welcome drink in the lobby area. Aah!! The good life.

5 PM
Spa time
– The Quan Spa felt classy and opulent. There was a beautiful scent that got me into the mood for a pampering massage. The therapy rooms are spacious with all the amenities you need to pamper yourself. The small things were taken care of, from hair dryer to disposable under garments. It was time to unwind  with the Aroma Fusion massage therapy. My feet were soaked  in a tub filled with hot water and rose petals, later the massage began. Perfect pressure applied by the masseur, everything was spot-on. The cup of refreshing herbal tea after I was done, made such a difference. Wow!!

8 PM
Stand Up Comedy Show
– We were privileged to catch Atul Khatri Stand up comedy show at the hotel. The hall was packed but lucky enough we were sitting right up in front. Atul Khatri is one of Indiaโ€™s most successful Stand-up Comedian and YouTube personality. He was rated among the top Indian comedians by CNN-IBN. We were actually rolling on the floor with laughter on his Sindhi jokes. Hope he gets to dance with his St Theresa School crush and strike it off his bucket list.

9PM
Dinner at Waterfront Terrace and Bar
 –  But the best was yet to come at the dinner table. Chef Pavan spoke about Goan food, kinds of Goan curry and spices and the use of coconut to enhance the flavours. Each dish was unique in taste and had that authentic Goan flavour. The thali had all of my favourites including Chicken Xacuti, Mutton Sukkhe, Prawn Curry and a awa coated kingfish fry. Chef Pavan also stirred up with pride, a delicious Goan Sausage Pulao on occasion of #PulaoBiryaniDay and paired it with a local Ros Omelette Curry. One of a kind delectable taste combination, you can only understand on tasting.

At The W Hotel

Time to visit the prestigious Youth Hotel,W Goa,  http://www.w-goa.com/  special in every way. True to it’s reputation, W Goa is chic & stylish – lovely colours & swanky furniture! The property itself is huge and one needs golf carts to commute from one place to another. The beautifully landscaped grounds, rock pool and special Kiddies area stood out for me.

Spice Traders at W Goa is an Pan Asian restaurant, so perfect for a special date or group dinner. But no amount liking for the cuisine or starving could have prepared me for the variety of food I was about to witness. The food styling, plating and flavours have to experienced.

6 PM
Did a round of Baga Beach despite the crazy rain. The beach during sunset was beautiful, with sand in my feet and salt in my hair, it was paradise.  However a ernest request to all fellow tourists to keep it clean and not litter this pretty white sand beach.

We had our dinner at Bottle Bay on Baga beach. Most of the shacks shut down in the Monsoons. We had a few beers and Goan Prawn curry rice. Walked back all the way and dropped dead in our cosy beds. Next morning really got up fresh and hungry.

We indulged in a quick lunch at Infantaria, the all day diner. It has an old school charm and is quite popular with locals and tourists. Selectively trying out two Goan dishes we ordered pork fried rice and beef chilli, both lip smacking and well spiced with local masalas.
