https://www.indiblogger.in/ invited Mommy Bloggers across India to discuss how e-commerce is changing lives and styles of kids. This special Saturday afternoon in Mumbai was super exciting as some most enterprising parent bloggers from across India witnessed the launch of ‘Flipkart Li’l Stars – India’s Biggest Online Kids Store’. Also, met up with brands like Disney, Mattel and Chhota Bheem who talked about Children and their world!
There was lots in store with debates, discussions, Q&A session, Ad Mad group games over yummy food and cocktails.
The event started with Chotta Bheem, kids favourite toon walking around, happy to click pictures with all.
Kalpana Behara spoke to the bloggers all about her blog and experiences being a Mom blogger. She even discussed writers block that some of us face while penning our thoughts.
Up next was the Panel discussion, the experts from Flipkart, Mattel India and Chotta Bheem and Disney India sharing their views on changing trends of online buyers in India.
Points to ponder
1. Indian parents are among the most aware and informed amongst others.
2. You can shop in the comfort of your home at any time of the day.
3. 70% of customers consult reviews or ratings before making a final purchases.
4. Flipkart is emerging as best shopping destination for kids as over the country. Over 20 thousand toys from international brands are now available on flipkart
5. Flipkart is making large variety of kids products accessible and affordable in most parts of India.
The fun that followed
There was lively performances by the in-house band Blunder In the Code. All of us were foot tapping and singing along.
Later we played the Ad Mad game, each team was given some time to plan a script/play to discuss 10 kids products on the Flipkart site and enact it in front of an audeince.
Our #team1 did an exceptional job as “Indibloggers ka Ulta Chasma ” describing a home set up and how kids make demands for toys and items. How parents deal with them. it was hilarious and very well acted by all in the group. Yaaay!! Obviously we won!!!
Selfies, Masti and warm wishes followed as this was going to be the last Indibloggers Meet of the year 2015. Happy to have received this cute Chotta Bheem to take home after this wonderful event.
